Introduction to Adolescence
Course Description
Adolescence is a time of unique changes and opportunities. Youth seek answers to questions like, "Who am I?" and "How do I fit into the world?" while experiencing rapid physical, cognitive, and social-emotional growth. This course provides an overview of adolescent development and factors that shape it, including family, peers, communities, and culture. We examine challenges facing youth and opportunities to support them across multiple settings.
