This course is a continuation of CHIN4010. Readings and discussion are related to various aspects of modern China. The class is conducted in Mandarin Chinese. All four skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) are equally stressed. Students constantly work with authentic materials and engage in communications with native speakers in various formats and contexts. Prerequisite: Must have earned a grade of C or above in CHIN 4010 or CHIN 3050, or have equivalent background approved by instructor through placement evaluation.
