Prof. Maybee is by far the best professor in the APMA department. Every opportunity you have, take a class with him! He knows his stuff and portrays it in a way that makes it relatively easy to understand and remember. Also, he's very accessible outside of class, should you have any extra questions.

This course was very organized and structured.
Tests and quizzes were very reasonable and the objectives were clear.
Prof. Maybee does everything in a very timely mannered fashion and well prepared for every class. For example, he would announce the hw, quiz, test coming up in well advance and we got our graded things back very quickly.
He does his best to make his class a bit more entertaining.

If APMA311 is a required class for your major, take it with Professor Maybee. He cares a lot about his students and actually wants them to do well. Lectures can be a bit dry, but hey-it's prob/stat. Professor Maybee is extremely organized and methodical (and will want you to use condensed notes). Go to lecture and do some practice problems before each quiz or test and you should be fine.

Maybee's awesome. He's a nice guy and will try to help you out if you need it. His lectures can get dry though especially if you're tired. If you keep up with the material you'll do fine.

Dr. Maybee is a good math professor--very methodical and explains concepts well. The lectures can be boring at times, but that's the nature of the material. A lot of people don't see the use of statistics, and that's probably where their problems begin. Statistics forms the basis of essentially any engineering design project where you need to compare two competing ideas, so it really is useful. Be sure to make sure you understand the concepts, every so often he'll ask a purely conceptual question to make sure you realize that you aren't just manipulating numbers. For example, if you don't understand that a p-value of 0.002 means random chance is highly unlikely to explain the extremity of your observed value, you're doing something wrong.

Excellent teacher. He made a boring, difficult subject easier to get through. He's developed a methodology for teaching and learning, and it works quite well. The best math professor I've ever had. Thanks Maybee.

Prof. Maybee's lectures are a little boring and the course content doesn't help. The class is fairly easy if you attend all classes, take good notes, and put some effort into understanding the homework problems.

Class isn't too bad if you take notes and pay attention in class.
