This course was all right. Personally, I know from AP Psych in high school that I did not enjoy the personality unit because it was a lot of theories and tests and research. The professor, Turkheimer, had really interesting lectures that did run dry once in a while, but, overall, it was a decent class. This class focuses a lot on Freud, and even though we all disagree with Freud on many things there are some interesting thoughts that he did have such as his take on religion. Work for this course consists of weekly readings and taking 4 exams of which the lowest grade is dropped. The final is cumulative and you must pass it, and if you do pass it it is possible for you to drop that if you did better on the other three exams. The wording of questions on the exams were weird and a lot of them are related to the professor's thoughts. Make sure that you show up to lecture and take good notes. Also you must read the textbook and the Puzzle Pieces (the book with a case study articles) as the professor does a good job of quizzing on material from the text book, Pieces, and little ideas from the lecture. Overall, I was surprised to get an A in the course.
