Global Financial Crisis of 2008 was an interesting look at financial crises in history and the causes of the 2008 recession. The class period was mostly group discussion. Professor Singerman did a really good job facilitating discussion and picking readings. Singerman uses a specifications grading system, which is similar to pass/fail. Basically you need to participate a set number of times and complete a certain number of weekly writing assignments to get each letter grade. There were also three bigger projects, but they were not super difficult. Professor Singerman was always very helpful and supportive. In the online world of Fall 2020, this class had the best community feel.
