In this course we will be covering a variety of basic approaches to literary texts that enable us to analyze & understand them better. The course will be organized on the basis of literary genre (narrative, theater, poetry, etc.), with a portion of the semester dedicated to each. Short texts in Spanish for readings will be drawn from both Spanish & Latin Am literature, and from a range of time periods. placement.
