Course Description

Pre-Requisite(s): Undergraduate fluid mechanics or instructor permission

Fundamentals of conduction and convection heat and mass transfer. Derivation and application of conservation equations for heat and mass transfer in laminar and turbulent flows. Steady, unsteady and multidimensional transport. Applications to free and confined flows in forced, natural and mixed convection regimes. Phase change problems with moving boundaries, condensation and evaporation. High speed flows.
