Introduction to European Studies
Course Description
Examines contemporary Europe using an historical approach to explore the experiences, traditions, and ideas that have created contemporary European civilization. Explores traditions (economic, religious, legal, and political) which have shaped Europe. Examines major topics in Europe since 1945 such as the Cold War, the end of empire, the European Union, and the welfare state.
