Explores Russia's political themes of the 20th Century, especially events since the fall of the Soviet empire. Includes The Russian Revolution, Stalinism, the Soviet political system, Gorbachev's perestroika, nationalism, the Soviet collapse, and Russia's tentative steps towards capitalism and democracy.
