Course Description
Pre-Requisite(s):
Graduate standing ; instructor permission as 4th yr civil major/minor
Basic properties of hydraulic cements & mineral aggregates & their interactions in concrete; properties of plastic & hardened concrete. Modifications through admixtures; concrete test methods; behavior under various loads; durability & performance of concrete. Production, handling, placement problems; lightweight, heavyweight, &other special concretes topics.
