The other comments are basically true. Garcia goes through lectures with examples, which are helpful for the homeworks, but sometimes feel like you don't know if you are learning the material. Some stuff is interesting, but the class is kind of bland. Still I would recommend if you want to learn some interesting stuff in a not extremely challenging class.

The problem sets are more difficult than you would expect, especially the first few. The lectures aren't really that great - you feel like you aren't really learning anything.

Lectures are fairly boring but Garcia is a very nice teacher and wants students to learn. TA was very good. Go to office hours. HWs can be hard but if you get help at office hours you'll be ok
