I recommend this class as an easy way to fulfill the Sociology major requirement of a 4000 level class. The material was very interesting but Rubin has a tendency of going on tangent that confuse you about what the point of the reading was. ALL LOT of reading that also helped with the confusion because they're so long. The grading seemed arbitrary but the class discussion are interesting enough. Since he has a focus on punk/rock a huge focus of the course is on punk/rock.
