Loeffler is one of the smartest and most accommodating professors I've ever had. This class is super interesting and not that much work. Essays were only 750 words and we were allowed revisions after he gave us feedback. The midterm was challenging but it was open note at home which makes it less stressful. His lectures are super engaging but make sure you take detailed notes because he says a lot of important thinks that aren't on the slides. Would definitely recommend!!

This is one of the best classes that I've ever taken at UVA! Dr. Loeffler is absolutely fantastic - he's incredibly knowledgable about the subject and his lectures are so engaging. The workload for the course is completely manageable, and the grading was always very fair!

Loeffler is an incredibly engaging lecturer. Go to his office hours! He is a professor who actually wants to get to know his students and help them learn and succeed. Also, Nick was a great TA who really stimulated discussion and showed an interest in the subject matter. A+ class.
