Booth is absolutely one of my favorite professors at UVA! I've had her in 2 classes now, will have her in a 3rd in the fall, and have her as my advisor. The reading can be demanding and a little excessive sometimes, but she is very understanding about a college student's workload. If you at least do some of the reading and try to just pull a few basic concepts to talk about in class, you'll do just fine. Other than that, she is really fun and clearly loves all the topics she teaches. TAKE ANY CLASS WITH BOOTH!

Professor Booth is an amazing Professor and passionate about the Victorian Era. We had a take home final and a couple of short biography projects. Great class overall!

She can be a little scatter-brained at times, but Booth is a pretty good professor. You can tell she loves the material and really knows a lot about it. She's a fair grader and very easy to approach. The reading level is sometimes a bit high, but she's pretty understanding is you can't complete it all because of other classes. Overall, would definitely recommend her is you're interested in Victorian literature.
