I really enjoyed this class, but I got overwhelmed but the amount of material on the final. I think I would have gotten more out of this class if I had written the paper.

Absolutely the best class I have taken or will ever take at the University. Elzinga is incredible. Write the paper, it will be one of the best experiences of your academic career.

Best class I've taken at UVa. Everything rides on the final, which you will ace if you've been to class, done the reading and paid attention.

First and foremost, keep up with your reading. You'll look like a fool if you don't. If you're pre-law, you might even try briefing the cases. Second, don't expect just to parrot the cases; Elzinga will throw some tricky hypotheticals out there and you'll need to think on your feet. Even if you're not entirely sure of your response, hold your ground and answer with confidence.

This is a terrific class. It's more legal and less economics-based than Mike Moore's but it's small and taught socratically which is bound to give you a solid understanding of AT Law (and a very good idea of what Law School is like).

The course really focuses on reading. It is taught in the Socratic style so you need to do the reading to keep up. Mr. Elzinga is one of the best professors you could have though and makes it a very rewarding class.

This is an excellent class. Elzinga keeps everyone interested all semester. You must be willing to do the reading everyday, or you will struggle in class. The paper and final exam are difficult, as Elzinga is a fair, but not easy grader.
