I took Love, Power and Politics with Professor Lagos and I would not recommend it. Her teaching style is lecture heavy and she often goes off on tangents. She expects her students to do a lot of reading (sometimes full books in two days) but I got away with not doing the majority of them and still getting an A-. Two midterms are essay based and there are also two other essays throughout the semester. Her grading system is very unclear and she's not good about communicating her expectations. She's a great women and extremely intelligent but she's not the best teacher.
