This is gonna be a completely honest review. Professor Mohajeri is a really good person and is good at teaching the material. He prepared us well for all of the midterm exams, but we were all really unprepared for the final exam. I don’t know what went wrong there, but our average was a lot lower than that of the other professors. That wasn’t good because the final was worth 25% of our grade (mine tanked by 5%). I’d probably still recommend him over the other professors, but the final exam put me off a bit.
You get worksheets everyday and they’re randomly collected so make sure you do everything right and on time. The weekly webassign starts out really easy and fast and then it gets progressively longer over the year. It could take you over 4 hours sometimes. Webassign has certain problems that aren’t covered in class but you need to know how to do everything!!!
Make sure you always study for the quizzes and work quickly during group work. Do the supplementary problems and test study guides when you study for midterm exams. He calls the midterms “tests” but they are all actually worth 15% of your grade each, so don't make the mistake of thinking it’s just a test (my friends did that by accident).
Overall, I really did enjoy the class and I love the professor. He’s kind and really helps with understanding 3D calculus. You won’t regret taking this class with him

Prof, Mohajeri is the nicest professor (and in my opinion the best multivar prof). I took this class completely online and I enjoyed his lecture, but he does cold call people, so be aware of that. The classwork/groupwork is not too bad, but if you get a group that likes to talk and interact well with prof, he will help you with it. The webassign is kind of pointless for the exams, but is an easy way to get points. The exams are fair, but the second one was the most difficult. For online, the exams were open note but were long, so you need to know what you're doing and make a quick reference sheet. He is very accommodating to anything, as long as you let him know at reasonable times. I was able to take the exam late and he was really chill about it. I liked his teaching style (teaches concepts and then does examples) but I would recommend doing some prep beforehand because he goes a little quick.

Mohajeri was no doubt one of my favorite professors of the year when I took this class. He knows the material well and is able to teach concisely and clearly. He also does a good job of not making the material too dry as he will sometimes throw in a bit of humor into the lessons which is appreciated. The assignments for this class on webassign are not too tedious and are good practice for the quizzes and tests. If you are able to follow along in class and do your share of studying you can do well on the tests as they are straightforward and fair.

As far as I am concerned, Professor Mohajeri is one of those he is great guy but not that great of a professor. However, as far as the APMA department is concerned, he is the lesser of the other how many evils. Mohajeri is great at explaining concepts however the tests weren't graded very fairly where questions that didn't ask for an explanation would require an explanation for full points and certain types of work that he omitted in-class saying don't bother showing it, when not shown on tests would count negatively towards you. Mohajeri also goes through examples very quickly and doesn't let the concepts sink in at any point. Instead you MUST self-teach yourself this course because there is no way you will get the full picture from Mohajeri. Most of the examples, quizzes and group work do not prepare you for the tests. Quizzes will be easy, group work will be slightly harder but still just as easy and the in-class worksheets/examples are the worst at preparation because he gives you the answers as he goes through them in the last 5-10 minutes of class and then collects them instead of letting you work on them on your own so you could try and understand what you are doing. Also, I personally liked Mohajeri's accent because it was this nice heavy Iranian accent that can be pleasant to listen to but I know that some people may not be able to tolerate that kind of accent thus making it harder for them to learn. Also your WebAssigns are probably the only way to prepare for the test because the level of difficulty is approximately the same. Mohajeri also likes to really focus on concepts thus making his tests more explanation and understanding than actual calculation which can be a little annoying and tedious. Overall, he is a great guy but an ok professor at best, however he is the better of the other professors (which says a bit about our APMA department) and thus if you have to take this class, then try and get him

Mohajeri is definitely the best professor for APMA 2120. Here's what I've heard about the other teachers:
Fulgham: lectures for about 20 minutes then gives a worksheet that you have to complete on your own. Worksheets aren't easy since you do it by yourself. Additionally, my friends say he doesn't do very many examples in lecture. In contrast, Mohajeri does several examples but also helps you through all the worksheets, so you basically get a near perfect grade on all worksheets unless you're paying zero attention.
Socolovsky: I've head this guy is really bad. Let me tell you a story from my friend - Before the 3rd exam, Socolovsky told my friend's class to show up to the 8:30am class 10 minutes early because the test would be hard and they may need the extra time. So all the students show up at 8:20. No Socolovsky. 8:30. No Socolovsky. Another 15 min pass and he's still not there. So the students leave. Not long after, they all get an email from him that looks like this:
Subject: 1:30pm?
(no body)
Everyone's like whaaaat. Wack. I don't know why this guy hasn't been fired.

TL;DR - Mohajeri is a goat. You want him and not the other APMA 2120 teachers. 2nd best would be Fulgham. Worst case scenario is Socolovsky.

Great class. Consistent schedule and Mohajeri is great at explaining topics to all of the students. Tests can be long but all material is well covered and lots of practice resources given.

As a student in my first semester, I can say that his class is my favorite thus far. The professor can explain concepts quite well and occasionally offers a piece of sarcastic humor. My only gripe with the class is the damn narrow sliver of time we have to complete group worksheets, quizzes, and tests! This probably isn't his fault, but the discussion sections last only 50 minutes, which is BARELY enough time to complete a test and check your work for careless mistakes, let alone successfully completing a group work and a quiz back-to-back. One piece of advice I have for students who want to take this: Try to get good at doing tasks really quickly. That will save you in the course.

Professor Mohajeri is a very nice man, but I'd say the class was mostly self taught. He presented all of the information on powerpoint slides but went through them very quickly. I needed to read and review the material several times for the concepts to sink in. Sometimes I did the homework (on WebAssign) before lecture, and that made it easier to follow along because I knew what he was talking about. The weekly group works and quizzes were not really that hard. The key to doing well on the tests and final was to do a lot of practice problems and really understand the concepts. Mohajeri had question and answer review sessions before each test which were helpful. I was glad our quizzes, tests, and worksheets were always graded very quickly and Mohajeri always posted answer keys on Collab which were great for seeing how to do the problems you got wrong and for review.

This guys is a pretty cool teacher, and is willing to raise test grades if you go and talk to him. However, his quizzes are completely unfair. It's just the way he is. He forgets to mention sections that appear on them, he makes them too long for the allotted time, and the TAs will even acknowledge the difficulty and support the fact that they're unfair. As for the exams, length is once again an issue. The first two tests aren't anything unreasonable, although the third test is very difficult and far too long. I've seen a lot of comments on this page that say to just put in effort in and you'll do well. I don't exactly feel that way. This course specifically depends entirely on the professor you get, so if at all possible snag Morris. Good luck.

Professor Mohajeri is about the sweetest, most adorable man ever. You can tell he really understands the material he teaches and that is something you definitely want from a lecturer. I've heard some people don't agree with his lecturing style or something along those lines. I honestly felt the same way at the beginning of the course, but I quickly grew to appreciate his ability to teach new topics and theorems. Either way, I suggest doing your homework before lecture, using your quizzes to study, and just straight up practicing problems.
