Great Lecturer - during covid teaching the way she did it was lectures and ungraded groupwork most of them time. Maybe once a week there is graded groupwork and a quiz. Webassigns on a weekly basis.

If Ma is available for any APMA class, take it with her

Take Multi with Hui Ma! She goes over a lot of examples in class (which you should write down and understand) and overall is a very organized and systematic teacher, which I love. Her tests are very straightforward, as long as you go over the examples and know how to do the different types of problems. If you need more time, she lets you finish your tests in her office. There are several quizzes with about 4-10 questions that aren't too bad, but I kinda slacked off and didn't really pay attention / stay up to date with the material, so make sure you are ready when you know there is a quiz.

Her teaching style was very comprehensible. I enjoyed the class despite the difficulty.

Ma is an amazing professor; she is a good lecturer and approachable outside of class as well. But make no mistake - Calc 3 is hard, most of the people that find the class easy had previous exposure to it in high school. The class is very fast paced and the material can get tricky especially toward the end, so I would recommend reading over her slides and getting familiar with the new material before each lecture, and reviewing after lecture. It is definitely very manageable to get a B if you put in a decent amount of time and effort. You can't really get a better teacher than Ma - highly recommend.

Ma is the best! Her teaching style is so clear, and she's really nice. If you can take this class with her, definitely do it! The homeworks were occasionally challenging, but she prepares you really well for the quizzes/exams.

I would highly recommend taking this course with Dr. Ma. She was an excellent teacher, who really valued us learning the material. She and the TAs made themselves readily available for questions, review sessions, etc.

Do yourself a favor and take multi with Professor Ma. She is a gift from heaven. She's so sweet, teaches everything so clearly, and answers any question you'd have. She made difficult concepts understandable. I would not have gotten the grade I did with any other professor. She's so kind, it makes the class so much more enjoyable. Would highly recommend this class.

Professor Ma is an amazing instructor. You can tell that Professor Ma truly cares for her students as shown through her enthusiasm every class. I highly highly highly recommend her if you are taking this course. Never once did I regret taking this course with her. She is easily approachable and answers questions in a clear way. Take this course with her!!

Ma is one of the best professor's I've had yet. She makes sure all of the students understand and is very helpful during office hours. As long as you go to class every day you will be fine.
