Horgan was my very first class at UVA, and he owned it! This man is like the Danish? version of your story-telling grandfather. He was knowledgeable and straight-forward. Does general outline of method and practice problems. Tests and quizzes were simple and grading was generous. If you got a 5 on AP Calc BC, then go for this course. It's easier than Calc 2.

Horgan just teaches from the book, so self-teaching is basically what you'll be doing with this class. Try to get Beck if you can!! He is really nice, with a funny Irish accent, but not the best teacher in my opinion. He knows the material, I just didn't get much from the lectures with his wierd slides.

horgan was a solid teacher. make sure to stay on top of the hw assignments. it's easy to fall behind and wait until the night before to try to catch up, but this often makes the quizzes pretty difficult

Mr. Horgan is the most awesome math teacher you will ever encounter at UVA. He is a genuinely funny guy, and his Irish accent makes him so more likeable ! Multivar is a relatively easy class, especially if you have Horgan because you don't have to worry about homeworks. He is a knowledgeable guy, and i understood his lectures clearly. I highly recommend picking him over the other APMA212 teachers.

Take APMA 212 with Cornelius Horgan. He's hilarious, laid back, and he has a great accent. There is no weekly homework set (so discipline yourself to do problems on your own) and the quizzes are cake. Professor Horgan will put things in terms that are understandable.
