I would recommend taking this course with any other professor before taking it with Provat. If I could have skipped every lecture and have no penalty on my homework grade I would have. I taught myself every single unit of this course, and if anything found the lectures leaving me more confused than if I had just learned it on my own. She completely read off the slides every class and could not do the example problems without the answer key directly next to her. Sometimes, we would even spend the majority of the class on example problems, only for her work to be completely wrong. On top of not really explaining the content we were learning, she would also make condescending comments throughout class saying things like: "This is so easy" or "Very simple". After the first exam right after we walked into the room she said "I thought that exam was way too easy". Provat also had no idea what was going to be on the exams; people would often ask how many questions would be on the exam or if we needed to know certain topics, to which she would reply, "I have no idea". All of that being said, she is generally a nice person and can be very understanding at times, she is just not the best professor specifically for this course.
