Loved this class. Professor Horne is such a good French professor - she finds the perfect balance of having high expectations for your French and active engagement with the language while also providing a classroom space in which mistakes can happen and everyone is encouraged to participate and learn. Expectations were very reasonable, especially with COVID and the class being online. There was usually 1-2 assignments due a week, whether it be a discussion post, reading response, draft of your final project, etc. You definitely need to do all the readings before each class, but they're reasonable in density and are very interesting. I got a lot out of this class and really felt that it helped me advance as a French student despite the unusual circumstances of this semester. I just wish it was in person!

Good professor though the class discussions could have been more exciting.
