Sarah can be a little awkward at times, she notoriously takes forever to grade assignments, and discussions are hit-or-miss -- but she DOES occasionally bring treats to class (which is always a plus). Biggest piece of advice: if you are not a strong writer, meet with her and TALK WITH HER ABOUT YOUR ESSAY IDEA like a week before you write it and she will guide your ideas and ultimately your grade will be better. Another note: there are a TON of readings. It is a very heavy class in that regard. Almost no one in our class completed all the readings -- there was one day we were supposed to have finished an entire book and most of us were only a fifth the way through. To be honest though, you don't need to do ALL the readings to get a good grade in the class -- while you do need to thoroughly read the works you write your essays on, if you at least know the plot and characters of the other works so you can discuss in class, and you're able to recognize the writing styles so you can ID them on the final's passage ID, you should be set.
