Professor Vinson's edition of this course really opened my eyes to certain aspects of African American culture. I myself identify as African American, and even I found out things about Black America that I probably would not have known otherwise. As long as you participate in class and finish the assignments on time, you should have no worries finishing well in this class. I definitely recommend it for anyone looking to fill a College of A&S requirement or if you want to gain a new respect for African American history and culture.
