Professor Hoosier is hands down one of the best professors I've had at UVA. She made an effort to get to know students names (in a 150 person lecture, I might add) and made the material fun and engaging. There were only two short papers (3 pages each), a midterm, and a final. Readings were short and concise (besides one book that was assigned) -- was easy to read and supplemented the lecture material really well. I highly recommend this class, and really any class with Professor Hoosier.

Professor Hoosier is amazing! She's funny and engaging and actually cares about her students. There are two really small writing assignments that are easy and fun to do. There is a midterm and final but they are fairly straightforward. This class is really interesting, but fairly easy to do well in. I highly recommend!
