I would definitely recommend this class to anyone with even the slightest interest in Dostoevsky! Prof. Dianina's passion for the subject is infectious and made even the densest readings tolerable. The course does require a lot of reading—Notes from the Underground, Crime and Punishment, and Brothers Karamazov along with supplemental readings—but the assigned pacing was manageable to keep up with, though it may be difficult to catch up if you do fall behind. Aside from readings, there's also two weekly reading responses, occasional discussion boards, a simple solo-project, and a final presentation. Both the reading and workload is super manageable as long as you maintain the syllabus schedule without faltering too much.
