One of the best professors at UVA. Such a kind and caring human, yet also an effective language teacher. We really have all been blessed by having been able to be Anna's students.
Workload is manageable. Class is 5 days a week, and active participation is expected in every class but it's really not that bad, pretty fun environment tbh. Nothing too tricky but be prepared to spend quite a bit of time on homework and assignments. Grading is generous if you put in the work. If you genuinely try your best there's no reason you shouldn't end up with an A. One of the better language choices here as well. The department has loads of outside activities and resources if you are looking at learning Russian.

Anna is one of the sweetest professors I've ever had. She's fun and authentic, and is super funny without trying too hard. If you're taking Russian, she will absolutely help you out with the difficulty as long as you respect the workload of the course.
