Ellie is adorable and I love everything she does. Easy peasy class that's required for the ed school, totally chill.

Ellie was always engaging and wanted her students to do well. She was at times frazzled and three hour classes are difficult for anyone, but she helped me in deciding if I wanted to teach or not. There was alot of reading for this section, moreso than for the other professors.
She is very enthusiastic, but not as easy as the other EDIS 2010 teacher. She actually gives tests...and most people get Bs on them. The class itself is not hard and you do not need to do any of the readings. She makes the class enjoyable and she always lets you out early. Take this class!!
Unlike any of the other professors, she gives tests. These tests aren't particularly hard, but the way questions are worded are misleading and more than one answer can technically be correct or based on opinion, and Professor Wilson is unyielding in giving points back.
Ellie Wilson is honestly the best. She is fantastic with grading and she makes her intentions with everything clear. There is no reason for someone to get anything lower than an A if they show up to class and do all the work. By the way, people before me have said that she gives tests. That may have been true before, but it isn't any more. She doesn't give tests, she has no final. There are quizzes but they are take home and open book.
EASY A!!!!! Professor Wilson (I called her Mrs. Wilson because she is a very sweet, old, and fragile lady). I would recommend taking this class if you are in need of a GPA booster. I got an A. The grade for the class consist of a 4-5 page book review for Educating Esme which was a pretty good book, attendance in lecture every week, weekly reading quizzes that you can use the textbook for, weekly journals on your volunteering experience, and a final project on any education topic discussed in class. Again this is an EASY A!!!
easy and fun class....if you can't get an A, then something is wrong with you.
She is the sweetest professor I have ever met at UVA. Super easy class and she is not so strict about deadlines. If you can, take her and get nothing less than A. I can't recommend her much!
Really easy course - you just need to do a couple of short essays, semi-weekly quizzes that are open note, and to complete the field experience part of the class, where you just need to volunteer 10 times over the semester in mentoring kids thru Madison House and to write a short reflection at the end of each experience. The material itself is really not hard. You will absolutely get an A if you just put in some amount of effort, show up to class, and complete assignments. If you run into any sort of trouble just let the professor know, she's always very accommodating and will extend deadlines for you if needed. Professor Wilson is also just a really nice and sweet person in general. The classes each week were low-stress, we usually just watched a short movie and had class discussions about the textbook.
Professor Wilson is super sweet! The course was pretty interesting, few quizzes and projects
