Class is basically split into Congressional history and problem sets. Most people seemed to do well with the history and struggle with the problem sets. I had the opposite problem, found the history really boring and did badly on that section but destroyed the problem sets. Most of lecture is about history which made lecture boring for me and also made the readings tough to get through and I ended up not doing most of them. To be fair, most of the history testing is covered in lecture. The professor is sarcastic and funny and I enjoyed the problem sets which ultimately salvaged the class.

Jenkins is one of the best teachers I've had at this school. Class was fair and straightforward the entire way through and if you go to lectures you should be fine for all the tests. Class is really interesting too if you have any interest in politics. Great class and I would highly recommend.

Jenkins can be monotonous in lecture from time to time. That said, the class was fairly easy, although the emphasis on problem sets was a minor irritant. Overall a good and interesting class.
