pretty easy week to week, long final paper but Bartley is a reasonable grader. rather philosophical/ethical so don’t recommend if you’re not into that

Beatley is an amazing teacher and so enthusiastic about what he is teaching. I absolutely love him and will definitely be looking into taking some of his other classes. The ethical readings can sometimes be a little dry but are not awful and some are quite interesting; however, it isn't necessary to do all of them to be ready for class. There are two five page papers and a final fifteen page paper but the topics are not hard and they are fairly easy to write. I took this class as a first-year and was not overwhelmed at all.
