Spain is a great professor and a wealth of knowledge. This class focuses not just on research methods, but in writing style and public speaking skills. It is not an easy class and she is a tough grader, but you will learn a lot of things that will help you in your other courses and life in general.

Attendance is mandatory. You have a short paper one every two weeks. Readings are unneccesary for class but need them for the papers.

Professor Spain is a good Professor. She is very particular, but she is fair. Reading journals comprises the biggest component of class.

DAPHNE SPAIN IS AWESOME! Majors have to take the class, for minors it is an option. So take it!

This class taught me a lot about researching and planner's methods. Prof Spain is a great lady and is very helpful. Go to her office hours! She is a good person to get to know. This is not a difficult class but you do have to attend and do the work. Really develops writing skills.

Very relaxed atmosphere in which you learn a lot of skills and tools applicable in other classes.
