Physics is not easy- practice doing problems! Don't lie to yourself- you know if you "know" it or not.

Hirosky is clearly an extremely intelligent guy and he's really nice/awkwardly funny, but he's not the greatest lecturer. Slides come directly from the textbook, but theres 3% worth of clicker questions, so it's helpful to go to class anyways. MasteringPhysics homework, written homework, clicker questions, 3 midterms and a final. Midterm grades average around 70-75, but the class average rounds up to a B-/B, so there's a decent curve. Not bad, not amazing - this semester's material (E/M, optics, modern physics) is more theoretical than phys 2010.

Hirosky is an alright lecturer. Aside from the demos, he basically reads off of the powerpoints, and the powerpoints are almost entirely form the textbook. As long as you keep up with the homework, and understand the major concepts you should be fine. There are always the really tricky problems on the tests that no one can get, but the tests are usually curved. There are 3 exams (48%), 1 final (32%), homework (14%), preclass homework (3%), clickers (3%). The averages for the tests are usually 15/20 (sometimes lower).
