Lets be honest, all of the Physics I professors are pretty awful. None of the professors really give you an advantage because I found that I had to teach most of the information to myself from the textbook or the internet, or from using knowledge from physics in high school.
So, if you have to pick one, I would definitely pick Thacker because he is just really entertaining to watch. I don't think a single one of the daily demonstrations completely worked. There was just something about his demeanor was just funny to watch. He was very nervous, but he seemed like a really nice guy.

Thacker started out as an ineffective and nervous lecturer, but as the semester progressed he did get a little better. Some days the clickers were the only reason I got out of bed to come to class, but overall you can pick up a thing or two that'll help on the homeworks/tests from sitting in class. The tests are unnecessarily hard, only having 15 multiple choice questions on scantron, and sometimes test BS stuff. In all, okay class, okay material, okay lecturer.

Boring lectures, you pretty much need to teach yourself everything while doing the homework.
