Professor Neu is one of the best professors I've had at UVA. He is engaging, incredibly knowledgeable about the subject, and really cares about his students. The physics demos in this class were always entertaining and made the concepts more relate-able. Professor Neu does occasionally do derivations on the board which he races through and are not particularly easy to learn from.

Neu was a good professor; he makes it clear he wants you to understand what he is teaching and wants to make sure everyone learns, which is atypical of an entry level course. Exams are pretty rough (at least the curve says so) but on the whole, a good intro class.
