I really enjoyed this course. It was a seminar format so each week we would discuss different topics such as drug abuse in the region, nutrition, remote area medical's role in Wise, VA, and many different social factors. There was a final project that we had to work on also. GREAT class I highly recommend. Both professors (McGarvey and Cattell-Gordon) were very passionate about improving health in the region which made the class that much more interesting/engaging.
