Luis is a good professor, and he explained the materials well in my opinion. The only problem is that the level of difficulty he set for this course is definitely higher than the difficulty you would expect for a "Transitional" class.

It's not the course that's hard. It's more of the teacher not really being suited to the task of teaching this course. I'd say if you wanna take this course, then you should take it after you've taken 5 other math courses. Try to take survey of algebra before you take this course. I'm sure if you had a good teacher, then the course would be simple.
