This is an awesome class. I took the TLP version with Prof. Lewin (the first time he had taught it). As an EE, the material was pretty straight forward. The lab book walks you through each lab step by step, so not much thought is required. Most of the mechatronics classes program 2-D printers as a final project, but we did line-following robots, which was difficult, but a lot of fun.

Lewin is great, he genuinely cares about his students. He is very open to student input, and very approachable if you're interested in understanding the material further. He spends plenty of extra time helping people in the lab, so you have plenty of opportunity to get in and get your hands dirty. Highly Recommended.
