Not a good class but at least it was easy. Did the bare minimum amount of work and made an A-. Achilles is dull but at least friendly and accomodating.

Dull, boring history class. A survey class so nothing is in depth so everything is forgettable. Achilles is pleasant enough but not very engaging. Danny Wasserman is a ballin TA.

This course provides a good, solid background on history that everyone should have. HOWEVER, lectures are ridiculously boring and often simply repeat the textbook. The supplementary reading was sometimes interesting. There is a LOT of reading in this course and pop quizzes, although they were quite simple.

I only took this class because I had to, but I would never have taken it otherwise. There is a fair amount of reading, and pop quizzes every so often. Professor Achilles is pretty clueless in my opinion. But the topics are sometimes interesting, and the papers are at least short. For the most part, it was boring.
