This is the YWLP course, but not much is done outside of YWLP (should just be called “mentoring” not “issues facing adolescent girls”) here is the average time commitment:
Ywlp group- 2 hours, but my school was southerland which is 20 minutes away and you have to drive your little home so more like 3.5 hours
Outside time- 4 hours a month. Doesn’t sound like a lot but it’s really hard to find free stuff to do for a middle school girl every month
Class- two hours a week and most of it is reflections do not very relevant in my opinion
1st semester- weekly readings and a response usually about 2 papers (responding to questions they ask)
Each semester- two full day Saturday events
First semester- two papers and group presentation
Second semester- one paper
All of this might be worth it to you, but keep in mind a connection with your little is not guaranteed and takes a lot of time and effort. For the second semester, you do everything except you don’t have the readings/ homework and the class is 1 hour not 2. All of that for a 1 credit pass/fail...
