Harriott is a great professor and really does a lot to help you through the class. When I took it he made pdf AND video solutions to all the homework problems and recorded every lecture. The tests are tough (take about 8-12 hrs I'd say), but if you take good notes it isn't too bad (the tests and final were all take home, open book, open note, open collab). If you think you'd enjoy learning about the nitty gritty physics behind transistors and other electronics, definitely take this class.

Professor Harriot is extremely knowledgeable about this subject, though he's a bit monotone. Also, the take home tests are DIFFICULT. They generally took ~10 AT LEAST. This class was sort of interesting, but not really worth it.
