This review is for the Fall 2024 semester with Prof. Shivani Datar (I'm not sure why she isn't an option to choose to review).

This class provides a good overview of how databases work and practice with SQL. Lecture is not recorded but she provides detailed slides, as well as code examples once the class gets into SQL. We were allowed to work with others for the POTDs (graded for completion) and homeworks. The final project had assignments throughout the semester that aligned with course concepts we were learning at the time, culminating in a short final presentation.

There were three quizzes (not cumulative) and no final exam. The quizzes were 30 points in total, with 10 points for MCs and 20 points for applicative questions (ex. writing queries). The quizzes were pretty doable, the MCs are straight-forward and the applicative questions are fair. Reviewing all of the assignments/in-class practice problems, as well as the quiz review slides (which is the lecture before the quiz) helped a lot.
