In my opinion, there are many reasons to take this class. The content for the course is still very relevant for those concentrating in finance and for me it helped me to like accounting even more. Professor Thayer is an effective lecturer and the handouts she provides are very good for learning the material. She keeps the class engaged by asking and answering questions and I found this to be a positive feature of the class. On top of being a good teacher, Professor Thayer is also a great person who supports and gets to know her students. Would definitely recommend this course! -AH

Professor Thayer is a great professor. Before each class she provides notes which she goes through and fills out during class. She simplifies difficult concepts and is very clear about what is on the tests. She also provides extra credit opportunities which were not time consuming. She is always available through email or office hours and greatly cares about her students.

Prof Thayer has been my favorite accounting professor so far! She is great at teaching and breaking down difficult concepts. She also provides notes that are absolutely great. You can tell that she really cares about her students and wants you to succeed in the class. She's approachable and always willing to help. Class is lecture-based, which was a great change from COMM 3110. She assigns readings and homework, but homework was never collected and was just for your own benefit. If you listen in class and review notes, you'll do fine.
