Sadly, this course is required for BA and BS no specialization in chemistry, and BS in chemical physics. This course is the absolute worst class that I have evert taken at UVA. It was co-taught by Dr's. Gahlmann and Lehmann, and you would think that two brilliant minds would be able to run the class...however that is wrong. There was no guidance at all from either professor really and then 2 of the TA's ended up being useless. We had to do special projects this semester and it was the worst thing executed. First we didn't get a list of what is available to use until about a week before the proposal was due; then when it came time to do the special project, we once again got no guidance really. This course is very taxing in terms of time and mental health.
