Such a great class. Everything you learn in this class you will actually need to use in your career. Smith is a great professor and is happy to answer questions. Had a few guest presentations and even a field trip to a construction site. Definitely a worthwhile course.
Professor smith is the man. Great class if you are interested in getting into construction after school.
One of the most practical classes you can take for a Civil Elective, you really learn how the construction industry works.
CE 4000 was probably one of the most useful civil classes taken. The material covered will be used again in capstone and you may actually apply a lot of it in real life work situations. That said, this class was a lot of work. It comprised 5 hw problem sets and 5 projects throughout the semester. Some projects were individual and some were group based. On the plus side, there was no final exam.
such a worthwhile class, really teaches you a lot about how the civil engineering industry works in the real work and B. Smith gets fantastic guest speakers
This class requires some effort, but isn't very hard if you actually study
Smith is a great guy. The material he actually teaches in this class is boring, but the guest speakers make the class so worthwhile. I learned a ton in this class. Definitely a good one, and pretty easy
Almost no work and you get to start to understand construction.
