Fantastic class. Met once a week to discuss primary journal articles. One article a week, presented by a pair of students, everyone presented once. There's a quiz on the article each week. Your grade is composed of self evaluations of your participation, your presentation, and your quiz grades. No papers, no finals, just super interesting discussions every week. Fantastic class!

Typical K money. This class is incredible and really interesting. Very interesting to learn on the cutting edge of immunological therapies with some of the most engaged students in the Bio department. By far, my most favorite class at UVA

This is a pretty chill class unless you suck.

Very interesting class, great for getting better at reading and understanding scientific articles. The final is a final paper on a segment of cancer therapy that interests you. Make sure to participate in the discussions. Highly recommended.

This was probably one of the most enjoyable classes I've taken at UVa. Each week, a pair of students will present a primary research article on the week's topic and from there it becomes essentially a round-table discussion. Participation is important but it's really easy to get involved if you're interested in the topic
