So this class is hard in that the material is conceptually very difficult. Dorning does a good job of explaining things rigorously but the pace is still very quick. If you can stay on top of everything and make every class, you will come out with a great understanding. If you miss a class, it'll be tough.
This class is easy in that there is no homework and no tests. He guarantees all students an A because he wants them to enjoy learning the material without the stress of earning a high grade in what would be an extremely hard class. Each person is required to give a presentation on "anything nonlinear" and as long as you do that, it'll be fine.
Highly recommend the class and Dorning as a professor in general.
