Yuri is the man. Hooks its up for sure. Class is heavy on Russia but you can squeeze a good grade out here in just two weeks with the old j-termmmy.

Yuri is the absolute man. Displays more care for his students than any other professor I've ever had. Not a tough grader at all but you still learn a lot. He adds great cultural perspective to political events. Extremely knowledgable, very kind, definitely take. Grading is based on two tests (equal parts MC and short analytical responses) and 1 short group presentation.

One of the best Professors at UVa. Even if the Soviet Union isn't of significant interest to you, you should take the class simply because of Professor Urbanovich. His first hand knowledge and genuine passion for the subject make learning enjoyable and he is an extremely fair grader.
