Review for Prof. Thompson's Financial Engineering:

Extremely knowledgeable instructor — most people who want to take quant end up taking this course. Prof. Thompson was at BlackRock and really knows what he is talking about and explains pretty well. However, he is very harsh about deadlines, yet he himself misses class, including the last day. The hws feel outdated and are finance heavy. The project is fun, but you really have to want to do it, its self-guided. If you are going into quant, I don't recommend this course: I recommend looking into learning problem solving/other trading courses. #tCFF23
