Professor Street is very cool and approachable. The class is mostly asking and answering textbook questions out loud with a partner, and the quizzes/in-class essays/oral exams/tests are all pretty straightforward and not too hard. The hardest part is the online homework Sunday through Thursday, which can take up to two hours sometimes.
Professor Street was an amazing professor for this course - wish he taught 2010. The structure of the class is very fast paced (since it combines 1010 and 1020), but if you have a background in Spanish (I had 4 years of high school Spanish) you will do fine. In the beginning you cover a chapter a day, but then it slows down to two days for a chapter around the second half of the semester. There is a lot of online work with Connect, which can be extremely frustrating, but over all I learned more in 1 semester than I did in 4 years of high school Spanish.
TAKE THIS WITH STREET, HE'S GREAT! This class has a lot of work outside of the class but that work it a good buffer grade because it is pretty easy to get A's on the homework assignments. You have a partner project that is not too bad and the exams aren't too hard but get harder as the semester goes on.
