Acton is an incredibly funny guy who makes the class interesting. Anyone who has an interest in technology of any kind should take this class. It teaches a variety of technology topics from communications, to probability, to the GPS system. It's got a little bit of everything so you'll find something you're interested in.

The class is really straightforward. If you're not interested in the topic, lectures can be dull, but attendance isn't required. Everything on test comes from slides or hw. Go to recitation for homework help.

This was a great class. He is the best teacher I have had in the E-school. You learn a lot, yet the material isn't too challenging. It is just an overall good class to take.

Great class. Professor Acton makes it fun. Sometimes the material just isnt interesting, but it is usually worth going to class. Also, tests aren't that bad and he's really helpful.

Tests are kinda tricky, but not too hard, hw is easy. Lectures are funny/interesting

A fun class, interesting material, and the labs are cool. For homework go to the TA sessions as they can be tricky.
