This class was interesting, and I imagine it is a lot more interesting for students looking to be involved in the education system, especially elementary or middle school. There were no exams or midterms. We would have pop quizzes on the reading material and what was covered in the previous class. We also had to comment on a blog post from an education blog. Then we wrote a big research paper on a topic of our choice. Willingham you don't wait until the last minute to write the paper though. There were strict deadlines for an annotated bibliography, outline, and the final draft, all of which he reads and grads right in front of you. The class itself was very discussion based, so you do need to keep up with the readings and pay attention. It was good class overall.

The class was interesting and Willingham was a pretty good professor but I would not recommend taking the class unless you have to take it.
